Transparency Chicago is dedicated to improving government accountability and transparency. We use FOIA requests to obtain government records and publish them online. Transparency is the first step to government accountability, and to shaping the government, and the community, we desire. We file FOIA requests to shed light on the inner workings of our government.
Accountability
Once we know what our government is doing, we must join together to hold them accountable. Transparency Chicago promotes government accountability by sharing the information obtained via FOIA requests so that we can all be informed and prepared to act.
